The Global Classroom is thrilled to present our tenth classroom – Exploring the Stars 2. Exploring the Stars 2 will welcome NASA Scientist Dr Stefanie Milam back to the classroom to discuss the dawn of a new era of astronomy as the first images have arrived back to NASA from the James Webb Telescope.
Exploring The Stars 2 will take place on the 20th September at 14:30 BST. The event will be broadcast live via Microsoft Teams.
We are incredibly excited to be welcoming back Stefanie into the classroom. Dr Stefanie Milam is a Planetary Scientist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Centre in Greenbelt, Maryland and serves as the James Webb Space Telescope Deputy Project Scientist for Planetary Science.
Through the Live session, our Global Classroom students will have the opportunity to view and learn about the first colour images that have been returned from the James Webb Telescope and what we are able to see. If you would like to submit a question to Stefanie about the images that may be asked during the classroom please send your name, question and location to [email protected].
Led by Scarisbrick Hall School Exploring the Stars 2 will work with NASA scientist Dr Stefanie Milam to explore the James Webb Telescopes first findings and what this means for the astrology community and humans on earth as a whole.
