World Environment Day Event,
5th June 2020

Following the enormous success of our first Global Classroom on 5th May, our next worldwide live and interactive event is scheduled to coincide with World Environment Day on 5th June 2020.

Scarisbrick Hall will be joined by BMG artist Jason Mraz, World Health Organisation Technical Lead Dr Maria van Kerkhove, Smithsonian Institute Director Dr Mac Farnham, as well as leading environmentalists Melati Wisjen and Andrew Brennen. This event will give schools around the globe the chance to discuss and discover more about issues affecting the earth’s environment. With contributions from the Smithsonian Institution and support from UNESCO, this exciting online educational link will build on the initiatives that the Global Classroom has already begun.

A global beginning: our first event

05:05:2020 16:30pm UK Time: Scarisbrick Hall, in partnership with WHO and supported by UNICEF, launched ‘The Global Classroom’. The event was also supported by the Independent Schools Association and Microsoft Teams.
