Henrietta was appointed UNICEF’s seventh executive director in January 2018. For more than four decades Henrietta has empowered change.

About Henrietta Fore

Throughout her time at UNICEF so far, Henrietta has worked to champion economic development, education, and humanitarian assistance. Before UNICEF, Henrietta was Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Holsman International, a manufacturing and investment company, and served on many other boards of directors.

With a History Bachelor of Arts degree from Wellesley College. Henrietta furthered her education at the University of Northern Colorado and obtained a Master of Science in Public Administration. Henrietta is now married and has four children.

Needless to say, Henrietta has empowered so much change throughout her life. From 2005 to 2007, Henrietta served Under Secretary of State for Management, the Chief Operating Officer for the U.S. Department of State. Later in 2009, Henrietta received the Distinguished Service Award, the highest award the Secretary of State can bestow.
