James is a New York Times best-selling author and has appeared in dozens of national television shows. James resides in San Francisco.
About James Nestor
As a journalist who has written for Outside, Scientific American, The Atlantic, Dwell, The New York Times, and many other publications. James has had great success in Non-fiction writing.
His latest book, Breath: The New Science of a Lost Art, was released May 26, 2020, by Riverhead/Penguin Random House and was an instant New York Times bestseller. The book explores how humans shifted to mouth breathing and how the increased consumption of processed foods has led to a rise in sleep apnea, asthma allergies, and more.
Having also worked with Scientists at Stanford University and has also written Deep in 2014 and co-wrote The Click Effect in 2016. Both are about freediving and specifically, The Click Effect explores the language between whales and dolphins.
Nestor has appeared on dozens of national television shows, including ABC’s Nightline and CBS’s Morning News, and on NPR.
