Michael John Hastings CBE is former Global Head of Corporate Citizenship for KPMG International. He was also life peer educated at Scarisbrick Hall School. 

About Lord Michael Hastings

Previously the BBC’s Head of Public Affairs, Hastings began his career as a teacher and has held many other senior positions. He served for nine years on the Board for Responsible and Sustainable Business at British Telecom (BT) and was the board of director at Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).

Lord Michael Hastings is also a crossbencher in Parliament. In 2005 Lord Hastings was awarded peerage to the House of Lords, and also in that same year, Hastings achieved the UNICEF award for his outstanding contribution to understanding and effecting solutions for Africa’s children.
