Katherine Blanchard is the program manager for Leadership Development and International Programs at the Smithsonian Science Education Centre.
About Katherine Blanchard
The Smithsonian Science Education Centre has been a key collaborator in helping develop The Global Classroom. Dr Carol O’Donnell has been involved in delivering content in all sessions and we are delighted to have Katherine Blanchard also on board as a Global Classroom supporter.
For those of you who don’t know, The Smithsonian Science Education Centre (SSEC) is working to transform primary and secondary education.
Katherine Blanchard has managed and supported a wide variety of programs and mainly focuses on supporting teachers and districts to support awareness of STEM education.
Prior to joining the Smithsonian Science Education Centre, Katherine completed Fulbright Fellowship teaching English at the University of Belgrade and completed her M.A. in International Education.
Katherine recently delivered a talk here at The Global Classroom about mental wellbeing in our third event – One Global Mind.
We cannot wait to welcome Katherine back to The Global Classroom for our eighth digital classroom – The Big Picture – on Tuesday 8th June at 16:30 BST.
